This Privacy Policy explains how Nestella ("we," "us," or "our") accesses, collects, stores, uses, and shares your information when you use the Nestella mobile application and any related services (together, the "Services").
Nestella is a gentle daily-care companion for parents — you can log your child's sleep, feeds, diapers, meals, growth, and milestones in seconds, see what your child still needs today, and safely share a care summary with caregivers and co-parents.
We collect the personal information you voluntarily provide when you create an account, set up your family, log your child's care, or contact us. This may include:
You do not have to provide optional information (such as photos or an emergency contact) to use the core features of Nestella.
When you use the Services, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the app — such as device and app version, basic diagnostic and crash information, and log data (for example, timestamps and error events). This information is used to keep the Services reliable and is not used to build advertising profiles.
We do not ask for special-category data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health diagnoses, sexual orientation, or biometric identifiers. The care information you log is personal to your family; please only record what you are comfortable storing.
We do not collect information about you or your children from third parties.
We use your information to:
If we ever wish to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information only when we have a valid legal basis to do so:
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:
Nestella is a mobile application and does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking to profile you. We use only the local storage and identifiers necessary to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We do not run third-party ad networks.
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
We use appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so that each family's data is isolated. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.
Nestella is designed for use by parents and caregivers who are adults — it is not directed to, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
Nestella does contain information about children — such as a child's name, date of birth, and care logs — but this information is created and controlled by the parent or caregiver who holds the account, for their own personal family use. We do not use children's information for advertising or profiling, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed above who process it on our behalf. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at nestella.app@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Much of this you can do directly in the app by editing or deleting your profiles and logs. For anything else, contact us at nestella.app@gmail.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Because Nestella does not track you across other apps or websites, we do not respond differently to browser "Do-Not-Track" signals. If this changes, we will update this policy.
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Utah), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact us at nestella.app@gmail.com.
Residents of other regions — including the EEA, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia — may have similar rights under their local laws. We honor valid requests regardless of where you live. Contact us using the details below to make a request.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this policy or your personal information, contact us at nestella.app@gmail.com.
You can review and update most of your information directly in the Nestella app. To request access to, a copy of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, email nestella.app@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
